New York City 2006

Day 1 - Abby and Ange in the East Village:

On our way uptown on the Subway:

A tour of Rockefeller Center – Look kids its Atlas:

Ange at the fountain:

Me at the steps of the New York City Public Library:

Chilling on the beautiful grass in Bryant Park:

Day 2 - Checking out the design gallery at the MoMA:

(I'm thinking of building one of these)

Dinner with my family at a nice Italian place in Clinton:

Ange in Times Square:

Day 3 - Lady Liberty

And Ellis Island:

Ange checking out lower Manhattan:

My brother, Alex, seemed to like his first trip to the big apple:

I liked the sea so much I decided to join the Navy:

Ange got a gig with the USO Show:

Day 4 - Clams and beer at Coney Island:

Ange and I get a little spring training in:

And play some mini-putt:

Day 5 - Sometimes you see strange things in this city, like political statements:

And upside down people:

Ange and I in Central Park:

(Did you know that Manhattan is 1/4th parkland?)

And of course Ange and I appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman:

Day 6 - Ange checking out the view at the Empire State building:

Me sneaking a kiss at the top of the Empire State building:

Some shots of New York from the Empire State building:

Hey a fire in Brooklyn:

(In the news while we were in NYC there was a story about a mailman getting caught burning mail and a about a big fire in Brooklyn, I'm not sure which this is but its one or the other.)

A british tourist asked me if this vacant lot was Ground Zero, the lot was uptown from the building, whereas Ground Zero is downtown:

(The other funny thing is that I doubt one of the twin towers could have fit into that little orange sqaure.)

A shot of Bryant Park (where Ange and I were chilling on Day 1) and Central Park in the distance:

Grand Central Station:

Poor little Ange lost and alone in the middle of Grand Central:

Day 7 - Ange and I in Brooklyn with Manhattan in the background:

Ange in beautiful Brooklyn Heights, this is the neighbourhood that the Huxtables lived in:

Ange on the Brooklyn Bridge:

Me kissing Ange on the subway:

Day 8 - A New York street fair:

(Abby said that in the summer there is always a stree fair going on somewhere in the city)

Ange and I at a beer garden in Astoria on her Birthday:

(This place was awesome; it was about half the size of a football field with tons of picnic tables and imported beer. I found it odd that the place was filled with drunk people and kids, seriously, apparently the beer garden is quite the family spot in Queens, there were about a dozen kids running around.)

Heading back into the city for some more drinking:

Ange said she had yet to be drunk in New York:

Some illegal dancing at the Fat Black Pussycat Club:

According to Joel (right) you have to have a license to dance in NYC, Alex (left) is unlicensed:

I'm getting that glazed drunk-guy look in my eyes:

My beer looks up at me in fear:

Marnie arrives from work and tries to catch up:

We get a nice range of emotions, Marnie is content, Abby is happy and Ange is angry:

I cheer her up with a birthday lap-dance:

Someone looks pretty drunk to me:

Day 9 - Back to T.O.:

GOOD TIMES!
